Alvaro Valencia

Alvaro studied the art of fine jewellery at George Brown College in Toronto over 30 years ago, where he and his brother Oscar Valencia mounted what was the begginings of Valencia Jewellery.

After that time, Alvaro achieved successful ventures as a Civil Engineer Technician in engineering firms such as AMEC and HATCH where he served as project lead in some of Canadas first windmill and mining engineering projects.

With the skills he acquired, Alvaro tried his hand at entrepreneurial ventures, where he became owner of Urban MAP Inc., a construction development company. After incredible success with Urban MAP, with the construction of the Theatre Lofts and construction/opening of @brothersgrimmbistro , Alvaro decided to return to his roots and purchase Valencia Jewellery off of his father. This making him the second generation owner of a storied business.
